Lady Suffolk, Suffolk Hills Neighborhood is named after her because she built the first residence in the area in 1937 to be used as her winter residence on the desert. Margaret, Countess of Suffolk is often referred to as Lady Suffolk. In 1957 when Tucson began to sprawl to the North towards her home, she sold this property. The buildings portion to the Catholic Church and the rest of the land to a developer, Lusk, who named his subdivision Suffolk Hills. Lady Suffolk purchased several thousand acres near Oracle to build a new showplace home. This property is now known as Biosphere II and her home is part of the restaurant.
