Get Involved There are many opportunities for you and needs by us for volunteer help. Check the list below and contact the person listed if you would like to help.
- Museum Building Committee: Roxy Johnson, Jack Evert To develop specifications and locate or construct a Museum building.
- Artifacts Policy and Collections Committee: To develop a policy on items that will be collected and to review donations to see if they fit within our Mission Statement.
- Preservation and Archival of Documents Committee: Joe Frannea (email: Joe @ ovhistory dot org) To sort, itemize, preserve documents, photos, letters, etc. received from various sources.
- Educational Outreach Committee: Tom Mosher (297-4594) and Joyce Rychener To develop materials and to give oral and pictorial presentations at schools, clubs, etc. about the Society and significant historical sites in the greater Oro Valley area
- Oral History Committee: need coordinator To contact individuals with historical knowledge and conduct interviews to document their knowledge.
- Public Relations & Fund Raising Committee: Dick Eggerding (575-0462), Georgia Hollinger (219-4947), Barbara Marriott, Ph.D (818-0569) To market the Oro Valley Historical Society through the use public displays, flyers and other appropriate media and develop special events and other fund raising ideas for the Society.
- Computer Archival Software Committee: Joe Frannea (email: Joe @ ovhistory dot org) To install and set-up the software, necessary procedures, forms and to log all Society assets.
