Third General Membership Meeting

November 30, 2005

  1. Meeting called to order at 6:30 by President Jim Kriegh .
  2. No changes to minutes from meetings 1 and 2
  3. Financial and membership report --  $5, 018.00, approximately 50 memberships
  4. Future meeting location:  Jim will request the Library meeting room for the 3rd Thursday of each month.
  5. Update on Honey Bee Village Archaeological Preserve and upcoming excavations by Pat Spoerl. 
  6. George Pusch Historical collection:  discussion of archival materials ordered and Past Perfect software (Joe Frannea) use.  Two conditions relevant to the collection – it stays in Oro Valley and it is not to be destroyed (per Henry Zipf).
  7. Revised brochure:  discussion.  Comments to be sent to Joe Frannea.
  8. Fund raising:  discussion of need for committee and events starting in January by Dick Eggerding.
  9. Membership drive:  same as above
  10. Addition to Board of Directors:  nominating committee to be formed in January for election in March.
  11.  OVHS goals and objectives:  bring ideas for Society vision and priorities to next meeting.
  12.  Information presented by Jim on Arizona Memory Project.
  13.  New and Old Business:  discussion of oral histories.
  14. Next Meeting will be January 19, 2006.
