Historical Society Programs

September 20^th.  Barbara Marriott, author of  “Canyon of Gold” presents “The Hunt for Oro Valley’s History”, the story of her wide-ranging search for photographs and historical information for her upcoming book of Images of Oro Valley being published by Arcadia Press.

 

 

November 15^th.  Uncovering History at the Steam Pump Ranch Part I, by Poster Frost Associates*

 

January 17^th (2008).  Uncovering History at the Steam Pump Ranch Part II, by Poster Frost Associates*

 

*These two programs will focus on fascinating aspects of the historic Steam Pump Ranch including the George Pusch era of the 1870s – 1920s, the Proctor-Leiber era from the 1930s – 1950, turn of the century ranching, architectural styles and features, and historic vegetation and landscape.

 

All programs will be held at the Oro Valley Library Meeting Room at

6:30 PM. All are welcome.
