(note: all future third Thursday OVHS meetings to be held at this location)

This will be our FIRST ANNUAL meeting which will be open to the public.

At this meeting we will  have a guest speaker, Mr. Richard N. Tully.   Mr. Tully will mention the Indian raid on the Tully and Ochoa Wagon Train that took place in the Canada del Oro in 1869. One of the owners was Mr. Pickney Randolph Tully, great Grandfather of Dick Tully. Mr. Pickney Randolph Tully was Mayor of the City of Tucson from 1889-1893. Pickney Tully's son, Charles H. Tully and Lois C. Hughes published the Tucson Daily Bulletin on March 1, 1877. The name was quickly changed to "the Weekly Star" and on January 12, 1879 it was again changed to the Arizona Daily Star.

Following the speaker we will have a business meeting considering changes in the OVHS bylaws and electing additional Board of Directors members. This meeting will be held on March 16th at 6:00 PM in the east meeting room of the Oro Valley Library.
